Suns, Southwest Airlines Send Kids on a Sea World Adventure

Posted: April 24, 2002

Twenty kids from AIDS Project Arizona Kids Central traveled to San Diego on a Sea World adventure this past weekend, courtesy of the Phoenix Suns and Southwest Airlines.

The trip began with a Suns send-off party on April 14 at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The party featured appearances by members of the Gorilla, the Suns Dance Team, Zoo Crew and Suns forward John Wallace. The trip was part of the Suns' and Southwest Airlines’ commitment to use their unique resources to help community organizations.

AIDS Project Arizona has provided care for people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS since 1983. The agency provides services such as HIV prevention, education, care services, family support, and during the summer Camp Hakuna Matata fun for the entire family.
