Suns, Mercury to Host Star-Studded Basketball Camp in Phoenix

SUNS, MERCURY TO HOST STAR-STUDDED BASKETBALL CAMP IN PHOENIX
Suns and Mercury personalities to appear at basketball camp at Thunderbird High SchoolWHAT:

Suns Head Coach Alvin Gentry and forward Louis Amundson will tip-off the Suns annual summer youth basketball camp in Phoenix on Sunday, June 28 from 1 – 3 p.m. at Thunderbird High School. Gentry and Amundson will be on hand to offer their basketball knowledge to the more than 280 kids in attendance as well as sign autographs.

A number of additional Suns and Mercury personalities will make appearances throughout the four-day camp running Sunday, June 28 through Thursday, July 2.

Appearances include Suns General Manager Steve Kerr, Mercury Head Coach Corey Gaines, Mercury guard Cappie Pondexter, Suns center Robin Lopez and forward Jared Dudley, as well as Suns assistant coach Bill Cartwright, alumnus Mark West and broadcaster Tom Leander. The Suns Gorilla and Verve Sol Patrol will also make an appearance during the week.

Phoenix Suns basketball camps offer the finest one-on-one instruction for hoop-loving kids of all skill levels between seven and 18 years of age. Camps focus on the importance of sportsmanship, fundamental skill development, teamwork and a positive attitude.
