PHOENIX – The Suns Wives have sparked a friendly competition between Studio B Smiles, the Official Cosmetic Dentist of the Phoenix Suns, and Harris Dental, the Official Dentist of the Phoenix Mercury, to whiten teeth and straighten smiles for a good cause. The program entitled, “Suns and Smiles,” begins today (Monday, March 2) and runs through the end of the month.

With a minimum donation of $250 (the cost of a teeth whitening) patients can get a whiter smile at either Studio B Smiles or Harris Dental. Both offices will also offer whitening trays for a $100 donation and Invisalign teeth straightening with all proceeds benefiting Phoenix Suns Charities and the Suns Wives organization.

“Suns and Smiles is a great way to be involved in our community and support Arizona kids,” said Suzanne Gentry of the Suns Wives organization. “I'm sure many people have thought about having this simple and quick procedure done, but haven't had the motivation. Now, the entire cost is donated to kids.”

In the program’s first year, “Suns and Smiles” generated over $27,000 to benefit Phoenix Suns Charities and the Suns Wives organization, with hopes to surpass that number this year.

"It's a win-win for everyone. We can give donors a beautiful new smile, but most importantly also bring smiles to those who need it most, Phoenix area children in need,” said Dr. John Badolato of Studio B Smiles. "We are also excited to team up again with the Suns Wives to really make a difference in the community."

“We are excited for this opportunity to give back to many children in need by whitening smiles,” said Dr. Brian Harris of Harris Dental. “We know that this could not be accomplished without the help of the Phoenix Suns and all the fans in the Valley.”

Appointments are limited and a teeth cleaning is not necessary. For more information, please log on to Suns.com.

Phoenix Suns Charities is the cornerstone of the team’s foundation, making grants to non-profit organizations that serve children and youth in the areas of education, health and human services, the arts, sports and recreation, and rehabilitation.

The Suns Wives organization is comprised of the significant others of the players, coaches, basketball operations staff and senior management. The Suns Wives strive to make a difference in the lives of families and children by volunteering time, energy and resources to various charitable organizations throughout the Valley.
