Suns Head Coach Lindsey Hunter

On the game
“Well I thought our young guys fought really hard. Kendall [Marshall] did a great job of distributing the ball and running the offense. I think this is really his first time playing extended minutes so I think it got to him, I think he got a little tired. I thought Diante Garrett did a great job and Wes [Johnson] is showing progress every single day. It is a good lesson for our guys. I thought we would have had a better chance to win it, but it’s a learning experience and I like the effort our young guys put forth.”

Suns Forward Wesley Johnson

“(The Jazz) sped the game up. When they went inside, our rotations were out of whack.”

On how he plans to finish the season
“Just continue to play. Every time I go out there and play as hard as I can. Stay confident and whatever they ask me to do – just do it. I really don’t go out there and do anything that’s not within me or the game.”

Suns Forward Luis Scola

“We were there and playing well, but we weren’t getting stops consistently. That’s a problem because then you realize you’re making a lot of shots, which we were, but then you miss a couple naturally in the game. You’re going to miss eventually. That’s when your defense will keep you in the game and give you wind. You’re eventually going to get it. We weren’t getting stops consistently and started missing those shots, and they opened it up and ran away. If you don’t get stops…especially in a place like Utah, where their record is 26-9. It’s a really good team that if you don’t get stops here, it’s going to be really difficult.”

Jazz Head Coach Tyrone Corbin

“Well we were trying to win the ball game. I thought they hung in there, they made some runs and it just didn’t feel like we were breaking away from them until the very end. So I wanted to make sure we had control of the game. Gordon and Al looked pretty good so I left them in there a little longer.”

Jazz Forward Gordon Hayward

“I just kind of let the game come to me. We did a good job on the pick-and -roll game and that allowed to me to create and get going offensively and got some easy shots early that I was able to knock down and any time that happens it’s always good.”

Jazz Guard Alec Burks

“Defense is always a big focus of the game plan. You play good defense you get a chance to win and that’s what we did.”
