"Obviously it was a disappointing second half, we didn’t execute offensively and we did a very poor job defensively. It’s almost as though we’re starting to lose our confidence and we can’t do that. I think you have to fight through all of that and continue to play, continue to execute. Once the game was even, I just felt like we didn’t think we could win the game. We have to have our confidence when we walk out there to play, it doesn’t matter who you compete against. If we can play like we did in the first half then we have to understand that we can play like that in the second half. Although we may have a bad couple of minutes where Brooklyn may get back or tie the game, that’s when we really have to execute, that’s when we really have to believe in each other. It can’t be a situation where we hang our heads. We just have to collectively get together as a group, coaches and players, and we have to have an understanding that we still have an opportunity to win the game."

"In the second half, a totally better Brooklyn Nets team came out. We struggled again getting a score and we had too many turnovers. We missed a lot of shots we usually make. This was a bad shooting night for us and I personally missed a lot of shots. If each one of us could of made one or two more shots, we could of won the game."

"In the 3rd quarter we barely scored any points. Our chemistry and movement of the ball was just down hill. They took away our confidence, especially in the 3rd quarter. They made some good shots and they scored some easy baskets. They had some momentum going and we could not keep up.":

"I’m very encouraged. I thought it was a great effort, considering they outplayed us in the first half. We played hard in the second half, but didn’t even come close to matching the intensity of Phoenix in the first half. You saw how hard they played, it took us back and we got back on our heels. We weren’t going strong to the basket then Gerald got hurt. Then D-Will went down in the third, but those aren’t the reasons why we weren’t close. We were lucky to be as close as we were at halftime to be honest with you. We made some shots, it could have been a lot worse at halftime than it was. ‘Dray really helped us, and it’s not that easy when you’re really playing and then all of a sudden get after it in the second half. We defended very, very well; we were also better offensively but not good Our defense was great, our bench was fantastic and C.J. (Watson) gave us big minutes so did ‘Dray as well as MarShon. MarShon particularly in the second half gave a great effort defensively. Tyshawn didn’t get big minutes but he helped us and Toko gave us some spots and did a good job. We’re banged up right now and we found a way to win."
|Nets Center Brook Lopez|
"We just didn’t have energy in the first half, but we came out and rectified that in the second half. You know our guys are tough. Gerald has been playing through loads of injuries this year, that’s the kind of guy he is, he doesn’t want to miss a game. D-Will, he’s our leader, he’s our guy, so he’s going to stay out on the court for us. We’ve been upbeat, trusting each other, playing off our energy and we’ve been playing defense these last few games during important stretches. Bottom line was we all needed energy in the second half because they were outplaying us."
|Nets Forward Joe Johnson|
"We know we have some momentum right now. We have been playing some good basketball of late but we still have a long way to go."
