Suns Head Coach Alvin Gentry

"It's becoming a similar theme every night, we start out great and then we get down and we have to fight all the way back. That is hard to do especially against a quality team and especially against these guys. Stat wise they are the best defensive team in the league this year. I thought we did some good things. Like I said we fought all the way back and even took an 83-81 lead at one point. But we have to do a better job of closing out games. That's been a problem for us all year, both at home and on the road. We just didn't make enough plays down the stretch. For them, David West made two jump shots and we gave up an offensive rebound at one point, we're just not making winning plays to close out games. Once again we're giving good effort with nothing to show for it. When we moved the ball I thought we got easy shots. They play the passing lanes real well and then they have Hibbert (Roy) controlling the paint. I thought our defense was good but it's the same thing, we just have to make winning plays down the stretch. We've got to find a way to do those things. I love our effort. We won't quit. But we have to find a way to make plays. It's very discouraging."

Suns Forward Luis Scola

"(On coming back from 16 down) We fought hard to come back but we're traveling a lot, three games in four days... It was just tough trying to close it out. But I think we really made a game of it. Sooner or later Indiana started making their shots and it's hard to close it out against any team in the NBA and especially a team like Indiana. We as a team need to play all 48 minutes."

Suns Center Jermaine O'Neal

"I thought we fought back really hard and we really dug down to come back. But with a good team like Indiana you can't let up for four or five minutes after making a comeback. We're a young team and we probably lead the league in losses of three points or less. We just have to start trying to find a way to finish a game out."

Pacers Head Coach Frank Vogel

"Give Phoenix a lot of credit for sticking with it after being down in the first half. They are a very good offensive team. It wasn't pretty in the second half but we got the job done. We did just enough. We'd like blowouts but get the W, find a way to win. (On Lance Stephenson) He's a big part of what we're doing. He's making good decisions with the ball and defensively he's starting to grow. He made the defensive play of the game toward the end. All young players' trust has to be earned and he has earned that. (On David West) You have to have a guy make shots at crunch time and he certainly helps us do that. It doesn't matter if he's 2 for 20, down the stretch he's going be in the game and he's going to get the ball."

Pacers Guard George Hill

"I felt early I had a lot of energy. The energy in the legs was there until I got hurt. Defense carried us in this one. They came out in the third quarter with a lot of energy and got back in the game. We knew they were a good offensive team but it came down to getting stops at the end and we did."

Pacers Guard Lance Stephenson

"We played team ball tonight. I just tried to get my teammates involved, let the game come to me and play smart. (On the team's play toward the end of the game) We played very good defense toward the end. They were running pick and rolls and we had to step up and help each other. At the other end, we went to David West at the end of the game and got clutch shots from him again."
