Suns Head Coach Alvin Gentry

(On the game)

"What a game. I just thought we just kept hanging in and hanging in and found a way to pull it out at the end. I thought that it was a really good blockout by Channing at the end and I thought Sebastian did a good job of trying to keep Chris Paul in front of him. At the end of the night, Chris Paul shoots 6/19. That’s about all we can hope for in those situations."

(On the win)

"It was a good win. I don’t like the term these must-win games. Every game you have to go out and play and see what happens. We still have to line up Saturday and play Denver."

Suns Guard Jared Dudley

(On the difference in the game)

"The difference was the second half. We started playing a little more aggressive, a little more assertive. First half, again 50-50 balls, they were getting too many dunks. Their bigs are really poor free throw shooters, so we’ve got to put them on the free throw line. We did a better job of that – limiting their easy points and just kind of grinded the game out."

(On the team’s intensity)

"The game was still close where a lot of pushing, grabbing was going on. Even if you think you’re not getting the calls, you need to make a stand to a certain point within the grasp of the game. I thought we did that and offensively we didn’t let it get us down. We didn’t do any more hard fouls after that, obviously Robin (Lopez) did and I think (Blake Griffin) only made one of those free throws and it was a technical on them, so it wasn’t that big of a deal where it could have changed the whole momentum. But it shows us the fight in this team where were not going to just roll over and let a team just run through us."

Suns Guard Steve Nash

(On the game)

"It was just such an ugly game and we were not playing well, but also making little mistakes that were hurting us and had no rhythm or flow offensively and somehow we hung in the game, and hung in the game and at the end we made enough plays to win it."

(On the win)

"It was a great win. I mean, it wasn’t our type of game really and it wasn’t a clean game by either team and we found a way to hang around when we could have gone south a lot of moments tonight. But we hung in there and found a way to just scrap and claw – you know, big win."

Clippers Head Coach Vinny Del Negro

(On the game)

"I didn’t think we executed a couple of plays on the side of the bounds very well at the end. We lost a couple of guys in three pointers. Blake got hit pretty hard there and his neck is bothering him. He fought through it, he’s a tough kid but obviously that had an impact on the game."

(On the Clippers' play down the stretch)

"We weren’t able to make a couple of plays down the stretch. Mo has a good look at a three and we go up two if he knocks that down and it’s kind of half in and out and that’s what you’ve got to do, you’ve got to make plays. I wasn’t pleased with the way we executed some of the side out of bounds; coming to the basketball, being more physical. We usually do a pretty good job of that but we didn’t do that tonight."

Clippers Forward Blake Griffin

(On Robin Lopez's flagrant foul)

"It’s not the first time. I haven’t seen it. It’s tough to tell what goes down. It’s part of the game. I don’t think it’s malicious or trying to hurt anybody but after a while it gets pretty frustrating only you’ve got to keep playing, you can’t complain."

Chris Paul

(On the game)

"Fans paid to see a good game and they saw a good one but a lot of whistles down the stretch. It was a hard fought game or whatever but we should have won that game. I felt like we played great defense down the stretch. We defended as well as we could have and tried to."
