Suns Head Coach Alvin Gentry

(On the Suns' defense)

"They are a hard team to play because they are so athletic and have so many scorers. It’s a lot like playing Golden State. They try to play small and they are always in the attack mode and it took us a while to get them under control but I thought we did a good job. Once again I thought our defense was good but we didn’t complete the defensive possessions and a few times where I thought we did a good job but didn’t come up with the loose ball. We were right there defensively but we just need to complete the defensive possession. At the end of the night they shot 38 percent and 15 percent from the three."

(On the early deficit)

"You have to look at the teams we play, we play some explosive teams. You have to try to make adjustments and get it under control and I thought we did. We gave up 32 points in the first quarter and then we gave up 36 the second half. You have to be able to make adjustments and slow them down and we did that."

Suns Center Marcin Gortat

(On winning three games in four nights)

"It feels good. It feels good and definitely we made a plan, we said that we want to get those three wins and now we have them, so we have to keep going. We’ve got a great rhythm right now, we are playing well and hopefully we are going to show up next game ready to play against Oklahoma (City Thunder)."

(On the Suns’ struggles in the first half)

"We don’t have this outstanding pace that we usually have in the third and fourth quarter, but we’re getting better, we’re getting better. I think most of the players start getting ready for the game a little more – we are more focused on the game and we’re not fooling around right now. We are getting serious about everything and that’s not the first 10 games of the season, now we have over half of the season gone right now and we have to start winning. "

Suns Guard Jared Dudley

(On being patient on offense)

"I think ever since we got back from the All-Star break and we’ve had those practices, I think the chemistry and timing of knowing where everybody is going to be on the floor. Steve (Nash) gets in the lane and makes the whole defense collapse, so it’s really easy for us to catch and shoot."

(On winning three games out of the All-Star break)

"The team’s head should be right now we’re trying to make a good second-half push. We’re trying to protect home court, which we did a poor job first half, but this a new half and every team can make a run, so we’re going to try and make a run and the good thing now is we have a couple days of practice to get ready for Oklahoma City and Dallas."

Sacramento Head Coach Keith Smart

(On the fourth quarter)

"We got three stops in a row, we just couldn’t make a shot and that’s kind of the situation we’re in right now. We play well all the way through and when you have to make a play to get a finished shot in the paint or make a shot we just can’t make them. Defensively the guys did a great job. You’re going to give up something, you’ve got a great point guard who’s going to make plays and find people. I thought our guys did a great job to maintain and do the things necessary but we had a few breakdowns late."

Marcus Thornton

(On the fourth quarter)

"They made plays at the end and we didn’t. It’s as simple as that. You’ve got to give it to them. In the fourth quarter last they made plays and we didn’t. We got stops but we just couldn’t get over the hump in the fourth quarter. They made plays and we missed easy shots that I know we can make so we’ve got to go back to the drawing board and fix that."

Tyreke Evans

(On the fourth quarter)

"They made plays. I think the thing that killed us what Shannon Brown; those threes that he hit, after that we could never really find a rhythm. Those were big shots for them. We’ve just got to do a better job of stopping the ball. On good teams like that with the shooters they’ve got their willing to shoot threes anytime; with Nash, Frye, Brown, all those guys can shoot."
