Head Coach Alvin Gentry

(On how the game changed after the first quarter)

"We didn’t do a very good job of holding our own in the second quarter. Obviously the second quarter was where the game was. We can’t score nine points and expect to stay in the game. We didn’t do a very good job. We didn’t execute. We turned the ball over. You do that against this team and they’re going to make you pay."

(On the team’s offense)

"We have not been very good at all. We’ve looked at all angles and all situations, so I don’t know. We have to sit down tomorrow, we have to go back and look again, and we have to try to adjust again and see if we can get a little bit better at what we’re doing. It’s happened quite a bit now where we’ve played good first quarters – it happened in the Toronto game where we had a really good first quarter and a really poor second quarter."

Steve Nash

(On the Suns’ performance)

"Tonight was one of those nights were they revealed that we have our deficiencies. We just have to keep digging and try to find some different ways to score. We haven’t knocked down the shots we’ve typically knocked down in the past, but we also haven't been quite as cohesive or had the same flow."

(On making adjustments)

"As players on the court, we have to make little adjustments on the fly. I think at times we’re getting very stagnant and lose our energy offensively instead of making hard cuts and being decisive. I think we create opportunities but we don’t capitalize."

Grant Hill

(On things that stood out in the game)

"We stopped competing there as soon as they came out and hit us hard. Instead of hitting back we just kind of folded. We always know that playing here is going to be difficult, this crowd is going to get them in the game… you know they’re going to make a run, but I just was disappointed with our attitude while they were making that run."

(On making offensive changes)

"We’ve struggled, and we haven’t really found our rhythm. On one hand I think maybe we’re not the offensive machine that we have been in the past. It’s not that we’re doing anything different."

Trail Blazers Head Coach Nate McMillan

(On the game)

"I thought from start to finish, our effort was good. The pressure defensively was good on the ball. There wasn’t a drop off when we made substitutions. It seemed like we got stronger as the quarters went on. The second quarter, we hold this team to nine points and then the third quarter; we jump on them again and hold them to twelve. So yeah, this is what we were looking for from our guys where everybody played well on both ends of the floor."

(On success at home/struggles on the road)

"They looked like we did when we went to phoenix. What’s going on – I think crowds, your home court certainly motivates you and brings energy to the building."

LaMarcus Aldridge

(What was difference from loss in Phoenix to this game?)

"Just played better, better defensively, better offensively. We watched film about how they were double teaming me and double teaming Gerald and how we needed more movement. I thought that was big early. We got guys going early and got a lot of easy baskets early and tried to build on it."

(How much pressure does outside shooting take off?)

"It makes it easier, definitely. I think I started to try to pass it more tonight when they started making those shots. I started trying to find Wes when he got it going, tried to find Gerald for a couple shots."
