Suns Head Coach Alvin Gentry

“Well, we’re at .500…we’d like to be at about .650 but we have a lot of work to do. I thought we did a good job. We took care of business right from the start.”

(On Grant Hill’s defense)
“I keep telling you guys that Grant Hill should be on the All-Defensive Team. The only reason people aren’t talking about him is because of where we are record-wise. Every night he guards a guy, he does a great job…a lot of credit goes to Grant.”

(On Robin Lopez)
“We just have to continue to try to get better. I like what we’re getting from the center spot with both our guys. I thought Robin [Lopez] was pretty good tonight. I thought he was pretty aggressive with what he was trying to do as far as rolling and getting his hands on balls. I was happy with that. Now we just have to keep trying to move forward.”

Suns forward Jared Dudley

(On his dunk)
“It set up perfectly, I just saw the ball going to Grant and I just felt that me and Grant had that connection that he was going to pass it to me. My left leg is my jumping leg and I just threw it down. ”

(On the win)
“It was a big win because we knew it was a back-to-back and we played well. I think that defensively we are playing well and we are all coming together. We pushed Monta [Ellis] which is the key. When playing them you have to contain him. In the first quarter we came out and played with a lead.”

Suns forward Channing Frye

(On putting together a playoff run)
“I see a run coming together with this team. I think we just needed to trust each other and understand what works and what doesn’t. Guys are stepping up. The second unit is getting used to each other and I think we are doing a good job and getting better defensively. That’s all you can ask for.”

(On his shooting confidence)
“I think my confidence is pretty good. I just need to be aggressive. I feel that if I miss four or five then I will make the next ten. It’s just something that through going to the gym and working out with the coaches will keep getting better.”

Warriors Head Coach Keith Smart

“We didn’t have what we need to start the game off. We were a tired team on the floor and we didn’t have what we needed and then you move on. You share with the younger players how hard it is that you have to play every night in the NBA, back to back in particular, but there’s nothing you can do with it. We didn’t play well to start the game off in the first half. WE didn’t have the energy we needed to gave against this team.

"I thought we might have still had a shot after halftime but you could see even trying to scrap there, it was a struggle. You knew you didn’t have it. We had a lot of unfinished plays in the paint and you have to finish in the paint against this team or there’ll be run outs. I knew going into half time and give them a little look in the third quarter and see what kind of push you have and after that, you see the juice isn’t there and let’s play our young guys, play the bench and go from there.”

Warriors guard Monta Ellis

"They made shots and we didn’t finish on the offensive end. They played a good game and they hit shots. To be honest with you, I think we do more to ourselves than anything. We can’t turn the ball over, they get out and run. We miss shots and they still get out and run. We’ve just got to do a better job and hold them that first quarter and hold them out to half time. After that, it’s at toss up.”

Warriors forward David Lee

(On When Game Got away from Them)
“What time did the game start tonight? It was bad from the start, similar to the last game we played them. I feel like we got outplayed at all five positions from the start of the game to the end of the game. They’re very big in posting up our ones and twos top start the game and then they always seem to shoot the ball well against us. Conversely, offensively we don’t really ever seem to play our best. I don’t want to say it’s a bad match up because we have one more game, and that’s a game that we can win. But if we lose, then I’ll agree with you and say it’s a bad match up, but we’re not giving up that last one.”
