(On the second team going on a run)
“W didn’t have Shaq and a couple of starters, the team was Lou, Matt, Dudley and LB were in. We did a good job, we switched everything which made us a little more aggressive defensively and we made some stops. That’s why we were able to get a little separation there even in that quarter. Instead of running by taking the ball to the basket we ran by coming up with stops.”

(On what he would do to defend Shaq)
“It’s tough. There’s not much you can do about it. They bring guys in and out in foul trouble and all that, but he’s such a load down there that they can’t do much.”

(On opposing centers)
“It doesn’t matter who is out there – Yao Ming, (Tim) Duncan – that’s any team for me. If I can get touches like that, it doesn’t matter who is out there – they’re going to have to double or triple team me, especially now the way I’m shooting three throws. We tried fronting him, playing from behind, we tried double-teaming him. I don’t know what else you can do. This is a team that feeds off of three-pointers and we held them off of the three-point line, but we had no physical answer for their big man.”

“He’s a big body, and we had no answer for him. I think at the end we showed some things we could’ve done but nobody could hold him down to stop him.”
