 | Suns Head Caoch Terry Porter
"I am obviously very pleased with the win. I thought our guys did a great job of coming out setting the tone. We talked about before the game how the last time we played them we were a different team, but still they outworked us. They were tougher than us last time we played them and I think our guys did a great job of responding. We had some guys step up big tonight; Grant (Hill) obviously did a great job on Dirk (Nowitzki). We tried to do some different things to throw at him, double him a little bit. I thought our guys did a good job to make them make some plays, try and have some different guys make some plays for them. We got great energy off the bench, Lou (Amundson) was great for us, and LB (Leandro Barbosa) was great. We just had a lot of good guys contribute tonight. Total team effort."
(On beating a good team)
"Just like anything, it gives us confidence, especially at home. It gives us confidence. (Dallas is) a team that obviously is a playoff caliber team... They just really beat us up pretty bad at their place. It was nice for us to come out and respond the way we did tonight."

"We let one get away the other night and everybody was well rested tonight, and we came out and played with a lot of intensity. I think once we stop giving games away and package (this) game, we can be right up there with the other top-echelon teams."
(On the third quarter)
"It was very fun. We got out, we stopped them, we ran the ball and that’s how we need to play the rest of the season.
"Consistency wins games. Consistency wins championships. I think that style of game – everybody was involved, playing defense and running – if we can package that and become consistent in playing that way, we'll be on our way."
(On going 7-of-7 from the line)
"I'm just trying to shoot them. I changed my form – I went back to my old high school form – and I’m just concentrating a little more."

 | Suns Guard Steve Nash
"We just needed a win – I didn't care how it came. It was a great night for us and it felt good to have an extended period of good play considering we've lost two buzzer-beaters at home in the last four or five games – so it felt good."
(On whether he was more impressed with the team’s offense or defense)
"Both. I thought we had a lot of energy tonight and we sustained it. They started out on fire and we kept it within three or four points. And for parts of the second and particularly the third (quarter), we played great defense, hustled, got some turnovers, got out in the open court, had balance, worked some post-ups to Shaq and J-Rich. It was a nice night because everyone contributed and we had a lot of energy."

 | Mavericks Head Coach Rick Carlisle
"It was a demolition is what it was. They played great, there are some nights when we get a little out-quicked out there, but tonight we got out worked. It seemed like they got every loose ball, and they fought hard. We didn't fight hard enough; it's as simple as that."
(What caused the big loss)
"I'm not going to write this up to a scheduling loss, or anything like that. I mean when they came to our place, they came off a back-to-back and we were waiting on them. These are ones you have to be able to deal with. The number of loose balls and the points in the point disparity were too much to overcome. Shaq had a dominant game on the inside and they played great at every position."
(On the Suns' points in the paint)
"A 50-point disparity is unheard of. If you give up 63 percent shooting from the field you're never going to win a game anywhere, but certainly not in the west on the road."

"They outplayed us man, a good old fashioned butt-whooping. We have to take this one on the chin and don't forget it, but move on to the next game. They did an outstanding job of out-hustling, out-working us all night long. They had a lot better energy than we did on both ends of the floor."
(On not being able to stop the bleeding)
"It was one of those when you just can't stop the bleeding, give them credit. They played outstanding tonight, but it's one to one in the series and we'll see them again."
