 | Suns Head Coach Terry Porter
(On the Suns' play tonight)
"It was disappointing. The way we started this game, we just didn't seem to have the fire tonight. We have been really sharp lately but did not have that for tonight. These guys (the Bulls) got the turnovers and out into the open court. They got the offensive boards and that with our 21 turnovers was too big a hill to climb."
(On the Bulls' play)
"Yes, Noah does bring energy when he's out there, but there were a lot of other guys out there tonight as well. With all those turnovers and not getting back on defense, you're not going to beat many teams. We just couldn't get anything going offensively and never got a rhythm. Yes, we had two guys out but that happens to everyone in the NBA. Someone has to step up."
(On their slow starts)
"We have done that this year. We mentioned it to the guys that you can't just go out and do it in the second half. Tonight it was all about our turnovers. We give teams easy baskets and then we have to try and come back but have to do that getting baskets in half court sets."
(On Derrick Rose)
"I thought he did a nice job tonight. He attacked the basket and handled the ball well. He also made a three. That makes us the answer to a trivia question. What team did he make his first one against? We knew that he'd drive to the basket and be aggressive. I really liked him in college and thought that this game was a better situation for his style of game back then."

 | Suns forward Amar'e Stoudemire (26 PTS, 7 REBS)
(On the fouls)
"I figured I would go to the line a lot tonight. I knew I would have to knock them down. I figured the fouling would happen because of some of the big nights I've had and it would be how they slow me down. That is the way the coaches are going to do it. However, tonight the Bulls just played very well as a group."
(On their play tonight)
"We came out tonight and had to play without Matt (Barnes) and Shaq. I felt we played somewhat hard but could have played harder. Some might have been tired but we need to play short-handed sometimes. Yes, the Bulls played well and aggressive. They are a lot younger than us and came out with a lot of energy tonight. They got the rebounds, loose balls and just out-hustled us. Rose played very well and was a real force in the open court. He played very well tonight."

 | Suns guard Raja Bell (9 PTS, 5 REBS)
(On their turnovers)
"Tonight it was just one of those things. As we learn our new style we will be better at it. Tonight, they kept us in the half court a lot. They forced us into it and imposed their will on the game. We just need to learn our sets and where people are better. The Bulls are tough to play because they're a long and rangey defensive team. It's not easy to score against that length. They made us finish around the rim and controlled the game all night."
(On Derrick Rose)
"I think he's a very good player. He is obviously explosive as you could see tonight. I think he has a good coach and that between Vinny and the good guards here, he will learn a lot."

 | Bulls Head Coach Vinny Del Negro
(On the game)
“We had one of those nights where we caught Phoenix. For whatever reason, we were moving the basketball, guys knowing their roles. We talked a lot about that. I'm just happy for the guys. They're working hard. There's always that frustration that gets in there a little bit, but tonight I think everybody contributed. We got a nice performance from Tyrus Thomas off the bench. Joakim gave us a nice boost, especially on the glass. Derrick was aggressive. It was just a nice team effort. From start to finish we had a nice edge to us. The crowd was great. Phoenix has been playing great. Without question I have a lot of respect for that organization. They were very good to me for a lot of years. They're going to have a great season. Everyone knows that, but tonight was our night and I couldn't be happier for the guys. We don't have a lot to time to celebrate. We have a little rematch with Cleveland. We didn't perform real well with Cleveland the other night. Hopefully we can get some rest tonight and get back to work tomorrow.”
(On the new line-up)
“You guys get into the line-up changes and all this stuff. I get into winning and how we can be successful. At times, the line-up will change. We have guys who understand their rolls. That's always a test for a young team and we're still in that process. We had a good game tonight but we have a long way to go. That's the exciting part about it for me. I have good guys but the starters will change from time to time. They know that so they have to keep working and improving, staying together and understanding their rolls. If they do that, it gives us a much better chance to win, especially against a quality team like Phoenix.”
(On Amar'e Stoudemire)
“Amar'e is a difficult cover for everybody. He's been playing great basketball. He has such a strong right hand and is so powerful, if you let him get on the move, he's so athletic and so powerful- he's very hard to cover. You have to get on him quick and not let him get going. He shoots the ball well from the perimeter. They run a lot of their sets from the elbow and that's difficult to guard. You worry about Nash's penetration and then kicking it back to Amar'e. He shoots it so well from there, it makes the rotation difficult. But I thought our guys were stunting, getting back and clogging the middle up. We stayed on their three-point shooters.”

 | Bulls forward Drew Gooden (11 PTS, 7 REBS)
“Getting a win is the big thing. I told the guys before the game that we have to protect home court. We have to have a better record at home than we did a year ago. Our fans pack the house every night so there aren't any excuses not to be better at home.”
(On defending Stoudemire, being aggressive)
“In the the 1st half, yeah. We played great team defense. We were collapsing and we did put him on the line. But it slowed them down quite a bit. They looked a little bit out of sync. They really pushed it in transition in the past and they didn't do that as much tonight. But, they are on a long road trip. They'll get things straightened out.”

 | Bulls guard Derrick Rose (18 PTS, 6 ASTS)
(On aggressive play)
“That was really the idea going in. We were aggressive and really moved the ball. We shot the ball a little more tonight as well. We've got to play D to run and when we do play defense, we have the ability to run and score.”
(On energizing the fans)
“I was just trying to play basketball today. If they get out of their seats, that's great. I'm really just trying to play basketball.”
(On playing the Cavs tomorrow)
“We've really just got to go out and compete. That's all we can do. We're just going to have to be aggressive and play."
