 | Suns Head Coach Mike Dantoni
(on the game) "You've got to give them a lot of
credit. They played hard and went after all the loose
balls and were more physical than us. They just got
us. Their bench turned the game around. You expect
Tracy, but their other guys came in. (Luis) Scola
killed us. In the second half we didn't hit shots and
dug a hole too deep to get out of. They got 10 extra
second chance points and that beat us. All the hustle
plays by Houston really hurt."
(on the road trip and playoff position) "Win 2 out of
3 on the road trip and that is not too bad but we
couldn't run the table and Houston did us in. I don't
think we will get home court advantage. We have to
figure out a way to win either (home and away) way."

(on the Rockets) "They were great! They played harder
and smarter and after their slow start they played
better than us. I thought everyone on their team
played great. They out-hustled us and it is never
great when you get out-hustled. They played smart and
hard and they played their butts off and it is good to
see that in the NBA. They know they have to play
together to be good. They are a good TEAM no matter
what names are on the backs of their jerseys."
(on the game) "This was a big game and we lost it.
They played better than we did and we can't cry about
it. We just missed shots and I'm not sure it was their
defense as much as them getting to all the loose
balls. When I got my shot they felt great but they
just didn't go in. That's just the way things go some
nights."

(on the Rockets) "The Rockets played well and we
didn't play particularly well. Their bench came out
and gave their team a big spark and that is what your
bench is suppose to do. They all did what they had to
do to get the win."
(on the game) "We didn't have the fight and the
urgency to get back into the game. I was surprised. I
thought we had to have more intensity. We got
out-manned and out-played. They out rebounded us and
they knew how important it was to get the win."
(on his 37 points) "I felt great. I thought that
everything I put up was going to go in." |

 | Suns guard Raja Bell
(on the key to the game) "I don't really know. They
had better energy and they just wanted it more. I
didn't think we had a good flow early even though we
jumped out to the early lead. They worked hard on the
glass then Tracy (McGrady) got it going and they were
the better team tonight. They didn't give us many
opportunities and we seem to forced things." |

 | Rockets Head Coach Rick Adelman
(on the game) "I couldn't be prouder of our team. I
just couldn't be prouder on the way they approached
this game. The way Phoenix started this game, they
really ran at us, had a lot of energy and we withstood
that rally, got back in it and from the middle of that
1st quarter on, we just played a solid game all the
way through and kept them in control. That's a very
good team and our guys, they came out with a real
resolve tonight and it showed. You go right down the
whole roster with Luis (Scola) and our whole
bench...terrific. And you've got to give Deke (Dikembe
Mutombo) a lot of credit battling that guy (Shaquille
O'Neal) is a real handful. And Deke (Dikembe Mutombo)
battled him the whole (game) and I wanted to keep him
on him."
(on the team playing without key players) "Well they
play just so well together as a team. They defend as a
group and follow the game plan. I thought the first
half when (Amare) Stoudemire had all those points and
about half of them were due to mistakes our big guys
made on the pick and rolls that we talked about, but
that's what it's all about." |

 | Tracy McGrady
(on the win) "Remembering what this team (Phoenix) did
to us last time, we had a dismal game and a dismal 1st
quarter (in Phoenix). We're really playing well and
have a different style of throwing the ball into Shaq
(Shaquille O'Neal) and running the ball a little bit.
We answered the challenge tonight. They got out to a
13-2 lead, but once we settled down, ran our offense
and buckled down on the defensive end; that's what I
was most impressed about -- our defense holding that
team to 90 points. They're one of the highest scoring
teams in the league. We did a great job of holding
them."
(on the team stepping up in the absence of Shane
Battier) "This gives our guys an opportunity to go out
there and show why they need to be playing. It gives
you and opportunity to go out there and relax. There's
no pressure on you, just to go out there and try to
contribute the best way you can. And we do that."

 | Luis Scola
(on his game) "I'm happy. I struggled a little bit at
the beginning. (Amare) Stoudemire is a really tough
guy to defend and he was hot, but we won and that's
all that matters."
(on the importance of the win) "We really needed this
game. We could have fallen all the way to the 6th spot
and lose our home-court advantage (in the playoffs).
It was really important game. We have a couple of
really tough games coming up and we need to win games.
If we win games and get the home-court advantage,
that'll be great for us."

 | Dikembe Mutombo
(on the importance of the win) "Tonight was a big game
for us. If you look at the Western Conference
standings right now, you can't predict anything or
who's going to finish where. Coach (Adelman) was
telling us all we had to do was continue playing hard
and play every game like it was the last game for us
and don't worry about anything."
(on the play of the Rockets' bench) "Our bench has
been coming in even when we had the 22-game winning
streak. Our bench has been contributing and I'm glad
to see them continue, especially Carl (Landry). That's
something that I've been looking for since he hurt his
knee." |

 | Aaron Brooks
(on the Rockets' overcoming the slow start) "We played
defense. We had been giving up a lot of easy shots and
(Amare) Stoudemire was getting a lot of dunks. He had
20 points in the 1st quarter. We limited him in the
2nd half. We made him play a little bit of defense and
we won the game."
(on how this game will prepare him for the playoffs)
"It gives me confidence, it's a confidence boost, but
also I think, just to get out there and play and get
familiar with it, I'm getting more comfortable." |
