Suns Head Coach Alvin Gentry

(Opening statement)
"I thought we played well, we did a really good job. I was probably most proud of the way we handled the rebound. They still ended up with 16 rebounds and a couple of them just took bad bounces and we couldn’t get our hands on. I thought overall it was a good team win. The starters played well. Grant was really exceptional. The bench played well. Shannon Brown did a good job for us. Sebastian did a good job. Markeiff did a good job defensively and staying in front of guys. Much needed win that we can build on for tomorrow night."

(On Ricky Rubio)
"(Ricky) has some of the qualities of Steve and can see the floor and see the next plays. I think everybody’s got to understand that he is still a young player he is 21 years old and now he has played in 37 pro-games and he is just going to continue to get better."

Suns Forward Grant Hill

(On the team’s defense)
"It was rebounding and it was trying to play without fouling. I think that you have to adapt. When officials are calling it close, you can’t be as physical. We have to do a better job in the first half of reading how the officials are calling the game. Once we did adjust and adapt we came out and had good energy. We had depth off the bench. I thought Shannon was great, I thought Robin was big. That’s how we have to play. Play hard, play together, use our depth and fight for 48 minutes. "

Suns Guard Steve Nash

(On Grant Hill)
"He was great. Grant is so tough and gives you so much energy and passion and leadership, let alone his formidable skill on both ends of the court. He was great and we needed every bit of him tonight."

(On the third quarter)
"Grant stepped up big. He was all over the floor he just did a little bit of everything. He was huge for us all day."

(On the second half)
"We just told ourselves to keep them close in the first half because we will hopefully shake some of the rust off. We just tried to hang in there and be in striking range so we could come around and make that turn."

Wolves Head Coach Rick Adelman

(On third quarter swing)
"We had our opportunities. We were up 6 but we just missed a lot of shots. They ran at us. We couldn’t make a shot. They were running it at us and pushing it up every time. I can’t say anything about that because the schedule is what it was. We missed one stretch, we were up six in the third quarter and we missed like 5 or 6 wide o pen jump shots and we could have opened it up, but we didn’t do it and they got it going. They’re second group did a nice job."

Wolves Guard Ricky Rubio

(On third quarter swing)
"They played very well. They played aggressive and we didn’t. We couldn’t get easy shots and we missed a lot of easy baskets. I don’t know if it was because we were tired or not, that can happen."

(On Steve Nash)
"He’s one of the best players ever and you always try to be close to them. He knows how to play, he’s smart and like I said, he’s one of the best ever. He knows how to control the game and he passes very well, which option he has to find for the team and he just runs it and does it."

Wolves Forward Kevin Love

(On Third quarter swing)

"It just got out of control and the wheels came off. Third game in three nights for all these guys and for me being sick, I just think we had tired legs down the stretch and it caught up to us. They hit big shots and they had some calls go their way and that’s what ultimately decided the game because it came down to the last six minutes and that was really it."
