Head Coach Alvin Gentry
(On the Thunder)
"They are a great team. There is a reason that they were in the NBA Finals last year. I thought that they played great and that was without Ibaka. They got two great players in Westbrook and Durant and you can see why. They always put you in a position where you can’t double team and get the ball out of their hands the way that they space the floor. They keep Durant up top they put Westbrook on the side and they got Kevin Martin on the side, so if you go double team you are going to leave a wide open three-point shooter especially Kevin Martin who is one of the top three-point shooters in the league."
(On the Suns' Effort)
"On the flip side I thought that we competed like crazy. I think we had our opportunities. We had a four point game and we had a good defensive possession and then we don’t secure the rebound and they throw it back out and make a three-pointer. That happened four times in the game. If you are going to play a team of this quality you have to seize opportunity." |
