Head Coach Lindsey Hunter

(On Goran Dragic's Performance)

“I am just glad to see him smiling and being himself. You want your point guard to always have the ultimate confidence. To make mistakes, to play through them, to have the total command of the team. That is what as a staff we have tried to give to him. We are giving him a lot of responsibility. We are giving him a lot of freedom. He is really doing a great job.”

(On Luis Scola)

“I mean he is the ultimate professional. I went to him today and I told him, ‘I am probably going to take you out a little earlier. You know you played big for us last night and he was like, ‘Coach, I am good.’ I was like I want you to be good in the fourth. He gives us everything he has every night, every practice, and he and Goran are the type of guys that we are going to build our culture around. We want all of our guys to understand that’s what we want. That’s the type of effort we want. And we are going to build something special.”

Goran Dragic

(On Getting Back to Back Wins)

“The last two games we have played as a team. We are hustling on defense; offense everybody is engaged, everybody is participating. It’s much easier if you have five guys on the floor and everybody is dangerous for baskets so the defense cannot relax. We just have to be solid on defense.”

(On Increased Freedom Under Lindsey Hunter)

“I still play the same basketball. The only thing that Lindsey said to everybody is that if you make a mistake don’t look on the bench just play. Try to hustle back on defense and try to get the ball back. Everybody I think is more relaxed without looking on the bench to see if coach is going to sub you out.”

Luis Scola

(On Limiting the Clippers' Easy Dunks)

“We were doing a good job and then in the first or second quarter – the first half, they got a few dunks and a few fast breaks and we kind of lost control a little bit for a couple minutes and that’s when they made their run. Then we stuck with it. Throughout the whole year we have been going up 10-12 points on teams and then they make a run and we put our head down. Then they pass us, take their run and go on ahead 10 – 12 points and sometimes even 20 points ahead. Today they made their run, we adjust and go back to what we said we were going to do and we make it a close game and we close it better.”

(On the Better Defense)

“I don’t feel comfortable saying that we fixed the problem. It’s just one game, you know. We played well today, that’s a good thing and it’s encouraging. We have played well in the past too and we’ve beat good teams. We beat Memphis and we had Memphis at the ropes at their place. We beat Chicago by 20 at Chicago. We have some good games. We have proved that we can so our challenge now is to have many good games in a row and accumulate good performances. We played good today - I just don’t feel that we’ve fixed anything. We have to go to San Antonio and do it again.”

Head Coach Vinny Del Negro

(On Tonight's Game)

"I thought Dragic got loose too much on us in the first half. We had opportunities in the second half but we didn’t shoot the ball well. We struggled from the field. We’ve got do a little bit better job making some shots and making it easier on some guys. Down the stretch, there was a tough call on us; the breakaway, two free throws and the ball. They were trying to deny as much as they could. We didn’t make enough shots when we needed to and we didn’t get enough long rebounds when we had to. We’ve just got to be a little sharper, especially in the fourth quarter. We’ve just got to be able to close some games out and know how to do it a little better.”

Jamal Crawford

(On the Loss)

“Obviously I missed a free throw and they got some free throws and knocked them down and we were just playing catch up at that point. They played with a lot of energy. You would think they were coming off a back to back we would be the team with more energy. They did a good job and they followed it to the end. We’re very comfortable in the fourth quarter. We had a little slippage but we just have to know exactly where we want to go in the fourth quarter and that’s what we were so good at previously and I think we’ll get back to it.”

Blake Griffin

(On Ankle)

“Not too bad. I really injured it three days ago against Golden State. It got better but I kind of re tweaked it. It’s not terrible. It’s the left. To me, ankles are one of those things where you just have to tolerate the pain.”

(On His Role as a Leader)

“I didn’t feel the same. Our offense was stagnant. Our defense wasn’t great. We just did a poor job overall. It starts with me, I’ve got to do a better job, setting a tone early and being a leader out there, especially when Chris isn’t out there. I’ve got to do a better job.”
