Lindsey Hunter

On start of the game

“I don’t think they ran one offensive play in the first three minutes, and [led] fifteen-zip. We have to do a better job of coaching effort. We have to do a better job of getting the guys ready to play in the beginning. To come out and give up fifteen points without them executing one single play is embarrassing. So, that’s something we’ll get back to square one about.”

On tonight’s game

“There wasn’t one thing we could point to and say that’s the reason [we lost].It was all of it. It was turnovers; it was a lack of execution. In some cases it was a lack of effort. We have seven games left and in between those seven games, we’re going to practice all those things that didn’t happen.”

On Clippers transition offense and dunks

“When you put them in situations where you can do that, that’s what they do. Everybody’s seen them play. You’ve seen the highlights. We all know. So, that’s what happens. If you don’t do what you’re supposed to do, that’s what happens.”

Suns Guard Jared Dudley

On tonight’s game

“They got off to a huge start. They basically put it on us. They’ve been struggling; they knew it was a very important game. Towards the second quarter, we made some subs and made adjustments and went at them a little bit harder to close it to about six or seven. The third quarter, they came out like the first quarter, and before you know it, before we could even get subs in, we were down 25, 27. It was just difficult. They came ready to play, but we made it easy for them. They probably had a good ten dunks tonight, wide open shots, wide open looks. So, it was a nice easy win for them tonight. We’ve got to play better, we know that, but we’ve been struggling a lot as of late.”

Suns Forward Goran Dragic

On tonight’s game

“We turned the ball over. They scored some easy baskets in transition and alley-oops. We didn’t contend while they were penetrating and scoring some easy baskets. We struggled on offense.”

On team’s mentality finishing season

“We cannot go anywhere. We’re not going to make the playoffs, so [we will] just try to compete until the end of the season; we still have seven games left. We are a little bit struggling right now. We are professionals, we still have seven games left, so we’ll try and give what we have left.”

Suns Forward Luis Scola

On tonight’s game

“They just made a run, and we had no answers for it. They got ahead 25 and had a little confidence and that was it.”

On Clippers big men

“They play well. They have a good combination. They’re athletic, they’re good players.”

On his first season with the Suns

“It’s hard. We didn’t play the way we thought we were going to be playing. We are not in the place we thought we were going to be at this time. We put ourselves in this situation, so we have to fight through it. There’s six, seven games left; I don’t know how many there are. We’ve got to play hard and see if we can win some games.”

Clippers Head Coach Vinny Del Negro

On tonight’s game

“It’s great to get back on track. Obviously, third quarter we kind of jumped on them, took control of the game. We had some good performances from a lot of guys. I thought Willie Green really helped us set the tone in the third quarter. Bled [Eric Bledsoe], Chris [Paul] with 12 assists a no turnovers, Blake [Griffin] with 7 assists. I thought DJ [DeAndre Jordan] was solid obviously on the glass and rebounding the ball. Just a solid, good effort, a good team win for us. Can get us back on track a little bit, get us number 50 [wins] and we’ll get ready for Sunday.”

On making it to 50 wins

“We had a couple of tough losses, a couple of poor performances like we talked about. To get number 50 in front of our fans, the first time it’s been done, is a great feeling for the organization and the team. But, we’ve got much bigger things [to do] than winning 50. Hopefully we can win the division and just keep moving forward. It’s all about improving, staying the course, handling the adversity of the season, your ups and downs. I thought we did some good things tonight. We can still play better, we know that, but we had 39 assists, 6 turnovers and that kind of controlled the whole game. We shot the three-ball pretty well. We were locked in for most of the game.”

On the performance of DeAndre Jordan

“It’s all energy, it’s effort. Obviously, a couple of their main guys, their big guys, are out. But DJ [DeAndre Jordan], he was active, he was rebounding the ball, he was running the court, got some easy ones. He’s so athletic and so big up front that when you use him like that it makes the game easier for him, but more importantly for the team.”

Clippers Center Deandre Jordan

On tonight’s game

“We just came out. The other day, we didn’t come out the way we were capable of playing, they jumped on us early. It was a big game for us. We had to jump on these guys early and take control of the game.”

On coming off of three losses

“It was a game that we felt like we needed to win. But Phoenix is a good team; they get up and down. So we needed to control those guys in transition and take advantage of the bigs we have inside.”

On moving forward

“The games that we have left, we feel that we should and can win. We have to stay healthy and continue to play defense.”

Clippers Guard Chris Paul

On significance of tonight’s win

“In the 43 years that the team’s been around, getting to 50 wins is something special; it’s nice to be a part of. It’s something that’s good for our team and for our fans. Ever since I got here, we’ve talked about setting a precedent. We expected to get at least 50 wins and we expect more. It’s good; it’s something to enjoy.”

On tonight’s game

“We played fast, we got the tempo up. We got some stops. Once again, this was one of those games where our defense created our offense. We got steals, we forced 19 turnovers and we only had six ourselves. That’s how we play most of the time when we’ve won games.”

Clippers Forward Blake Griffin

On significance of winning 50 games

“It’s a big step for us, never having been done here. We feel like we could do much better and we feel like we could have been a 60-win team. It’s something to be proud of, but the work doesn’t stop there.”

On team’s defense effort

“I thought it was better, for sure, for most of the game. The first half was a little shaky at times, but we came out pretty strong. We got a little lackadaisical at times, but as the game matured, I think we got better and we did a good job.”
