| SMALL FORWARD MATCHUP |
GRANT HILL 6-8, 225 lbs. |
Season Stats: 11.3 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 2.4 apg The seven-time All-Star and team co-captain is perhaps the team's best perimeter defender. Hill anchors an underrated defensive team that has held opponents to under 100 points nine times since the All-Star break. The Suns' defense has also held opponents to under 40 percent shooting nine times in that span.

|
NICOLAS BATUM 6-8, 210 lbs. |
Season Stats: 10.1 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.2 apg Batum is a second-year player that has come on strong of late, notching five of his six career 20-point scoring games in the last 21 games of the season. The French-born forward is becoming a deadly shooter, having shot over 51 percent from the floor, 40.9 percent from downtown and 84.3 percent from the line for the season.

| POWER FORWARD MATCHUP |
AMAR'E STOUDEMIRE 6-10, 249 lbs. |
Season Stats: 23.1 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 1.0 bpg The five-time All-Star has been arguably the hottest player in the league since the All-Star break. Finishing tenth in the league in scoring and seventh in field goal percentage, STAT trailed only the Thunder's Kevin Durant in the amount of 30-point games he produced since the All-Star break.

| CENTER MATCHUP |
CHANNING FRYE 6-11, 245 lbs. |
Season Stats: 11.2 ppg, 5.5 rpg, .91 bpg The former Blazer isn't the starting center, but receives the bulk of the minutes with Robin Lopez out (injured back) and Jarron Collins getting the ceremonial starting nod. Frye owns the largest single-season increase in 3-point field goals made in history and is the only NBA player this season with six games with six 3-pointers made.
|
|
MARCUS CAMBY 6-11, 235 lbs. |
Season Stats: 7.5 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 1.97 bpg Camby ranked second in the NBA in rebounds and fifth in the league in blocks. The former NBA Defensive Player of the Year can score, as well. Just a few games ago, he exploded for 30 points and 13 boards in a win over the Thunder.

| SHOOTING GUARD MATCHUP |
JASON RICHARDSON 6-6, 225 lbs. |
Season Stats: 15.7 ppg, 5.1 rpg. 1.8 apg Richardson seemed to be the Suns' X-Factor this season. The Suns were 26-4 this season when J-Rich scored 20 or more points. The two-time NBA slam dunk champ also shot a career-high 47.4 percent from the field to go along with his 39.3 percent from three-point range.
|
|
RUDY FERNANDEZ 6-6, 170 lbs. |
Season Stats: 8.1 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 2.0 apg As you've probably noticed, this spot isn't reserved for All-Star Brandon Roy, who is out for the series with a torn right meniscus. His 21.5 points a game will have to be replaced. Fernandez, however, is quite capable, having led the bench in scoring 19 times.

|
| POINT GUARD MATCHUP |
STEVE NASH 6-3, 178 lbs. |
Season Stats: 16.5 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 11.0 apg The two-time MVP was a monster again this season, becoming the oldest player in NBA history to lead the league in assists. For the fourth time in his career, Nash has shot 50 percent from field, 40 percent from downtown and 90 percent from the line (Boston's Larry Bird is the only other player to do it even twice).
|
|
ANDRE MILLER 6-2, 200 lbs. |
Season Stats: 14.0 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 5.4 apg Miller started off slow with the Blazers before catching fire just in time for the postseason. In addition, he holds the NBA’s longest active string of appearances, having played in 612 consecutive games.
