Phoenix Suns Awarded Two Rocky Mountain Emmy® Awards

Suns honored with two Emmy® awards for excellence in live broadcasting during 2012-13 season

The Phoenix Suns organization was honored with two Emmy® awards for excellence in live broadcasting by the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences on Saturday (October 19) at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.

The Suns Broadcast Production team of Vice President of Broadcast Dan Siekmann, Executive Director Bob Adlhoch and Producer David Hughes earned an Emmy® in the Live Sporting Event/Game category for a compilation of the team’s game broadcasts on Fox Sports Arizona last season. In addition, Adlhoch was awarded an Emmy® in the Live Directing category for a separate 2012-13 Suns broadcast.

Founded in 1955, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry. The Academy recognizes excellence with the coveted Emmy® Award, the most prestigious peer-judged award in television.

The Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences includes the states of Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Wyoming, as well as El Centro, California.
