Suns Thank Fans With Night of Prizes

The Phoenix Suns will host Fan Appreciation Night when the club takes on the San Antonio Spurs Wednesday, April 13 at US Airways Center. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.

The first 10,000 fans in attendance, 21 and older, will receive Phoenix Suns Dancers playing cards, courtesy of Budweiser. Also, the first 50 fans to check in to US Airways Center via Foursquare at the game, will receive a special prize. Following the game, flyers will be distributed featuring two free tickets to a 2011 Phoenix Mercury game.

Prior to tip-off, fans are invited to meet and receive autographs from various Suns alumni, The Gorilla, members of the Verve Sol Patrol and Suns Dancers, in the Casino Arizona Pavilion and APS Gorilla’s Greenhouse. A photograph booth will be set up outside section 102 where fans can show their Suns spirit and receive a complimentary photo.

At halftime, six season ticketholders will participate in a trivia contest. The winning contestant will return to the court during the third quarter and attempt to make a three-point shot to win a new 2011 Kia Optima, the official vehicle of the NBA, courtesy of Kia Motors America, proud partner of the Phoenix Suns. If the shot fails to go in, the contestant wins a trip for two with the team, making them a winner either way.

Throughout the evening, numerous prizes will be given away to thank fans for their season-long support, including Suns autographed merchandise, $5,000 worth of Fry’s Food Stores gift cards, a gift from Oliver Smith Jeweler, a suite for the Josh Groban concert on August 19, plus hundreds of gift cards. More than 1,000 lucky fans will randomly win Suns Legacy autographed items. During each quarter, five autographed items from the 2010-2011 Suns team will also be distributed.

The night will also feature a tribute to Suns season ticketholders and a “Fan Appreciation Day Sale” at the Team Shop with select items discounted between 20-50 percent.
