The Suns and their fans are eager to see Eric Bledsoe back on the court.

They can take solace knowing Bledsoe feels the same way as he continues his path back from arthroscopic knee surgery.

“He’s in good spirits and I think he’s itching to go,” said Suns Head Coach Jeff Hornacek.

The fourth-year guard has increased his rehab activity. He is a regular at Suns practices, though not yet a participant. His drills and exercises have been bumped up in terms of complexity and the energy required.

“He’s working more and more every day. I think he’s going to get checked out again just to make sure nothing’s going on in there,” Hornacek said. “They’re just being cautious with him and making sure that we’re not just rushing him back just to be in this [playoff] run.”

The caution should be pay off when Bledsoe does return. Hornacek said the thoroughness of his recovery will prevent any awkwardness or subpar performance once he is back on the court.

“When he starts playing you won’t see him hesitating,” Hornacek said. “I’m sure he’ll still play the way he always did.”
