Cox Communitcations and FSN Arizona Offer Suns Games in HD

FSN Arizona is set to bring Cox Communications cable customers in Arizona 10 High-Definition telecasts of Phoenix Suns basketball games starting this Wednesday, Nov. 24, when the Suns host the Milwaukee Bucks. A number of Phoenix Suns games against the NBA's biggest stars and best teams can be seen in HD this season, including contests against the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Every fan will have access to 10 HD Suns games this season through Cox Communications. The HD telecasts are being offered in Arizona by Cox Communications as part of a new national High-Definition alliance among the Fox-owned and managed regional sports networks and Cox. FSN is offering a total of 70 local NBA games this season to selected cable operators across the country, providing 210 hours of local programming. Combined with the nearly 100 local MLB HD games FSN produced this past season, it makes FSN one of the nation's most significant producers of local HD programming. FSN Arizona is the only regional sports network to offer HD telecasts in the state of Arizona.

Cox Communications Arizona offers the enhanced package of High-Def games to digital subscribers at no additional charge, but are subject to availability. FSN Arizona and Cox also continue to offer Standard Definition telecasts of each of these games to non-digital subscribers as part of the core FSN Arizona regional service distributed throughout the state.

The Suns HD telecasts can be seen on Cox channel 722 and may be viewed by those digital cable customers with an HDTV set and HD Digital Converter. FSN Arizona's live 30-minute Suns Countdown pre-game show, which precedes every Phoenix Suns game on the network will be televised in High Definition this year as well.
