Clone of Suns Announce 2013 NBA Summer League Roster

The Phoenix Suns begin two-a-day workouts in Phoenix on Tuesday, July 9, in preparation for the 2013 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, Nevada, from July 12-22. The 12-man roster is highlighted by Suns’ 2013 first-round pick Archie Goodwin (29th overall), second-round pick Alex Oriakhi (57th overall), along with Suns players Diante Garrett, Kendall Marshall, Marcus and Markieff Morris, and PJ Tucker. Phoenix Suns Head Coach Jeff Hornacek will serve as head coach of the summer league team.

Phoenix tips off its summer league schedule at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, versus the Portland Trail Blazers in the first of three games on the Suns schedule at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of UNLV. With this year’s debut of a tournament-style schedule, each team will compete in three preliminary round games from July 12-16 before being seeded in a tournament that runs through the Championship Game on July 22. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games.

Prior to their departure to Las Vegas, the Suns will hold six practice sessions from July 9-11 on the Annexus Practice Court at US Airways Center. Media availability will take place at approximately noon, following the conclusion of each morning session.
