One of the benefits of All-Star Weekend for the media is having access to many of the league’s best players in one centralized location. Everyone is already excited about the future of Suns rookie Markieff Morris in Phoenix, but we here at Suns.com took it upon ourselves to hear what his peers thought of him. Check out what they had to say below.

Brooks
NETS GUARD MARSHON BROOKS:

“I like the way that he stretches the floor, especially playing with Steve Nash. That’s very important. And he can mix it up. That’s what I like about the big fella. He’s not just a shooter, not just a banger. He can do it all and he’s real skilled in the post. I think as he continues to get better, he’s going to be a real good player."

Chalmers
HEAT GUARD MARIO CHALMERS:

“I’ve only seen him play one time, but I’ve heard great things about him. I try to follow my Jayhawk players as much as I can, but with their schedules and our schedule it’s been tough I heard that he’s doing a great job and I’m happy he’s out here.”

Cousins
KINGS CENTER DEMARCUS COUSINS:

“He’s a good player and a skilled player. I didn’t know that he was that skilled coming out of Kansas, but he’s got a game to him. So he’s going to be a good player in this league.”

Griffin
CLIPPERS POWER FORWARD BLAKE GRIFFIN:

“He’s smart player, a good player and he’s only going to get better. He seems like a great guy, so he’s got a bright future. He’s a better shooter than what I had thought and what I’d seen. He’s just well-rounded offensively and does a lot of things well.”

Hayward
JAZZ FORWARD GORDON HAYWARD:

“He’s a talented player for sure. I saw him play at Kansas and he can really score the ball. But he can do a lot of other things too to help his team.”

Thompson
CAVS POWER FORWARD TRISTAN THOMPSON:

“He’s great. He’s going to be a key piece for the Suns franchise. He has all the tools to fit Coach Gentry’s offense. He definitely shoots it well. He’s very talented, so I could see him being there for a long time. He’s a great investment. He’s very versatile. He can shoot the three. He’s shooting great from the three-point line. I think he’s shooting 43 percent, which is phenomenal for a big guy. And then he can get to the rim, so he has all the tools to be a good player.”

Turner
SIXERS SWINGMAN EVAN TURNER: “I think he can really play. You saw him at Kansas as a big man. He’s a confident dude. It shows that he works hard. I don’t know if he missed tonight (in the Rising Stars Challenge), he hit some long-range shots. He’s going to be good in this league, obviously. He’s got a meanness to him, some toughness to him. The more opportunity that he gets, the more and more he’s going to creep up on people. He’s going to be legit. He has his own style of play style of play. He has a silent arrogance. He’s a tough dude. He reminds me of a Philly dude.”
