Aldridge Tabs Bledsoe as Potential Breakout Player

Add NBA media veteran David Aldridge to the growing list of Eric Bledsoe fans.

The writing and TV personality for NBA.com and TNT compiled a list of 10 players he expects to have breakout seasons this year, and Bledsoe appeared second on said list.

Among the reasoning behind his picks were these nuggets about the Suns' key offseason acquisition:

"The Suns are convinced that Bledsoe and Goran Dragic can play with one another and should be fairly interchangeable in the backcourt. If so, Bledsoe on the move, coming off of screens or in the occasional 1-2 screen-and-roll could be quite effective...He had nagging injuries the last two years that sapped his biggest attribute, his quickness. If he doesn't get slowed down, the sky's the limit."

Bledsoe could back up that statement in a big way on Tuesday night against his former team. He spent two years backing up All-Star point guard Chris Paul, but has repeatedly stated the opportunity given him by Phoenix is what he's aspired to since he entered the league.
