U.S. Men Take Bronze
No, they did not win the gold medal as expected entering the 2004 Olympics. But the men that made up Team USA, including the Suns' own Shawn Marion and Amaré Stoudemire, didn't hang their heads or mail it in after losing to Argentina on Friday. Instead, they pulled it together for one final fight with Lithuania and came away with a 104-96 win and the bronze medal on Saturday. Marion led the way for the U.S. with 22 points in the victory.

    USA Women Take Gold
    The USA Basketball Women's Senior National Team won its third straight gold medal after defeating Australia 74-63 on Saturday. Mercury guard Diana Taurasi scored eight points for the Americans, while Mercury forward Penny Taylor led the Aussies to the silver medal with 16 points. Meanwhile, former and soon-to-be-again Mercury center Maria Stepanova, lifted Russia over Brazil in the bronze medal game.
