Now Hiring: Marketing Assistant

The Phoenix Suns and US Airways Center Marketing department is currently recruiting for a part-time, seasonal Marketing Assistant to report to the Senior Director of Marketing.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

Assist in coordinating marketing projects for the Phoenix Suns and US Airways Center including, but not limited to:

  • Grassroots marketing projects including mobile marketing and Suns street team
    • Schedule locations for mobile appearances to coincide with Suns inclusion at special events, plus visits to marketing partner locations and community events in the valley
    • Help with scheduling and coordination of street team at games and special events
  • Conduct photo searches of players to supply images to advertising agency and creative services for various marketing projects
  • Assist with the premium items giveaway process
    • Coordinate logistics as it relates to production and delivery
    • Allocate and distribute items to internal departments
  • With assistance from the Marketing Coordinator, complete insertion orders and traffic advertising materials to the appropriate stations
  • Check Downtown Live emails and respond to inquiries and requests accordingly
  • Track and maintain results for Suns marketing and ticket promotions throughout the season
  • Update advertising binder with Suns tear sheets from various publications
  • Administrative responsibilities to include filing, routing invoices, expense reports, data entry, power point presentation development, program reports and recaps and maintain cleanliness of storage closet

    Required skills/qualifications:

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexible schedule; ability to work evening and weekend hours on occasion
  • Ability to take initiative, be self-motivated and work independently with limited supervision
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed
  • Marketing or business related degree (preferred)

    Candidates must be available to work 25-30 office hours per week, plus home game nights on occasion. Pay rate will be $10.00/hour and business casual attire is required. The opportunity is expected to last the Suns season through April
