The Glendale/Peoria YMCA in Partnership with the Phoenix Suns provides opportunities for the young athlete to learn the game of basketball on various levels. We offer Division 3 Recreational basketball for first time athletes that want to learn the rules of the game and basic fundamentals of passing, dribbling and shooting. Games for our D3 level are structured so each athlete gets equal playing time to utilize the skills learned in practice. Our Division 2 Competitive basketball is for returning athletes that have grasped the basic concepts of the game and are ready to take it up a notch. Games are played with modified high School rules and officiated by local high school officials. Division 1 is for kids ready for up tempo, fast paced basketball. Most athletes in D1 started in Division 3 Recreational and have continually worked hard to play at a high level.

We want anyone with a slight interest to join! Jr. Suns Basketball is a fun way to stay active, gain confidence and be involved with your favorite NBA home team, your Phoenix Suns!
