Macy A star at the University of Kentucky, Kyle Macy so impressed the Suns that he was selected in the first round of the 1979 draft, despite opting to stay at UK for a fifth season due to a redshirt year. After joining the Suns in 1980, he spent five seasons in Phoenix, averaging 10.6 points and 4.0 assists per game, and is still the franchise leader in career free throw percentage (.884) to this day.
