Edwards The Suns acquired James Edwards from Cleveland on Feb. 8, 1983 in a trade for Jeff Cook. The 7-1 center would spend six seasons in the Valley and average 14.6 points and 5.6 rebounds over that span. On Feb. 24, 1988, he was traded to the Detroit Pistons for Ron Moore and a second round pick.
