Top 3 Performers of the Night: Nov. 20, 2013 The Sacramento Kings took control in the third quarter of Wednesday’s game at US Airways Center turning a five-point halftime lead into a 14-point advantage en route to a 113-106 win. Click through to see the Suns’ top three performers of the night.
No. 3, Miles Plumlee Facing an incredibly difficult defensive assignment in guarding DeMarcus Cousins, Miles Plumlee more than held his own. Plumlee tallied 12 points and seven boards in 29 minutes of action while doing a much better job on the defensive end of the floor. Plumlee helped hold Cousins to just 19 points on 4-of-14 shooting.
No. 2, Gerald Green Gerald Green has been on an absolute tear this season on the offensive end of the floor. In fact, it’s getting to the point where if he misses a shot, it’s almost shocking. Indeed, the additional playing time he’s received in lieu of Eric Bledsoe’s absence (shin bruise) has only furthered that sentiment. After scoring a season-high 23 points in Tuesday’s game against the Kings, Green followed that performance by again tallying 23 points on Wednesday hitting 8-of-13 field goals including six 3-pointers.
No. 1, Goran Dragic Is there any doubt that Goran Dragic is one of the toughest players in the NBA? After a difficult loss against the Kings the night before, Dragic came out firing on all cylinders on Wednesday scoring the Suns’ first 11 points of the game. Finishing with 31 points on 10-of-20 shooting, the Dragon did a little bit of everything to help the Suns stay in the game by adding five assists, two rebounds and a steal in 35 minutes of play.
