"Oh, man," P.J. Tucker said after I asked him to name his five favorite sneakers. "This isn't going to be easy."
Tucker is a sneakerhead in every sense of the word. His taste ranges from eclectic to classical both on and off the hardwood. In fact, the third-year forward sports a collection of kicks that most people would dream of.

Air Jordan 3 (III) Retro "White/Cement"
”I love how clean these look,” Tucker said.
Sold out in a matter of hours, these sharp looking sneakers featured an elephant print on the heel and toe along with lacing eyelets. The Jumpman Logo is located at the back of the heel rather than the traditional Nike Air logo featured in the originals. It’s been said that Jordan fell in love with the design of the sneakers – a sentiment that Tucker can certainly identify with.
Nike Air Yeezy 2 Wolf Grey/Pure Platinum
”My favorite is the Solars,” Tucker said of the Yeezys. “Wait…nah, I think I like the grey ones better.”
One of the most popular sneakers of all-time, the Yeezys were credited as the first signature shoe from a non-athlete which obviously garnered headlines across the globe. The Air Yeezy 2 featured two primary colorways: Solar Red and Pure Platinum.
Tucker likes either one, but has a preference for the Wolf Greys.
Air Jordan 12 “Gamma Blue”
A unique, clean-looking shoe, the Air Jordan 12 “Gamma Blue” continues the vintage two-tone design with a black base combined with blue panels and white lettering down the tongue. The red Jumpman symbol is a fantastic contrast and is featured both on the tongue and on the heel tabs.
Nike Zoom Kobe IV
”I gotta go with these just because I play in them so much,” said Tucker.
It’s not difficult to see why Tucker and so many players like the Kobe IVs; they’re incredibly light, low and offer superior support. The upper of the Kobe IV featured Nike Flywire technology providing a lightweight, simple upper while the inner collar foam made these sneakers easy to wear.
Tucker says these are his favorite sneakers to play in.
Air Jordan 1 “Bred”
The kicks that started it all.
Keeping to the original 1985 versions, the 2013 Air Jordan 1 Retro “Breds” feature the black and red colorway with the Jordan wing logo on the ankles and soles. The tongues are branded with “Nike Air” for consistency.
