At the risk of sounding both cliché and obvious, Goran Dragic is having a career year in the NBA. Phoenix Suns stat guru Cole Mickelson has kept track of The Dragon’s progress all season long and was kind enough to share some of Dragic’s amazing numbers.

Keeps Getting Better
Over his last 35 games, Dragic has scored 20 or more points 23 times and is averaging 22.4 points, 6.4 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals.
Better yet? The Dragon is shooting .528 from the field and .459 from distance.
Dragic had a historic performance vs. Golden State on Feb. 8, scoring a then-career-high 34 points on just 13 field goal attempts (10-13 FG, 6-7 3FG, 8-10 FT).
According to the Elias Sports Bureau, only once prior in Suns history had a Sun scored 34 points or more on 13 or fewer field goal attempts: Gail Goodrich scored 36 points on 13 attempts (10-13 FG, 16-18 FT) vs. the San Francisco Warriors on March 17, 1970.
First in 10 Years
The Dragon is the first Sun since Stephon Marbury (2003-04) to be averaging over 19 points and five assists.
Spot in Suns History
Dragic is currently shooting .508 FG% and .415 3FG% this season; if he finishes the season over 50 percent from the field and over 40 percent from the field, he would join Steve Nash (six times, 2004-10) and Jeff Hornacek (three times, 1989-92) as the only Suns players in franchise history to accomplish this in a season.
Dragic and San Antonio’s Marco Belinelli are the only qualified players to be exceeding these percentages in the NBA in 2013-14.
Best of the Best
Goran Dragic, LeBron James and Kevin Durant are the only three players in the NBA this season to be averaging at least 19 points and 5 assists while shooting at least .480 FG%.
In the 16 full seasons dating back to 1997-98, there have been just 23 times a player has posted these minimums over the course of an entire season; in all 23 instances, the player doing so played in the All-Star Game that season, which Dragic did not do this season.
