 | Students, nominate your teacher or guidance counselor for the GCU Educator of the Month award! Honorees will receive four lower-level tickets to a Phoenix Suns home game, dinner in Club Annexus at that night’s game, a $50 Team Shop gift card and the opportunity to watch the Suns pregame warm-ups from the Suns’ bench before participating in an on-court photograph. | APS Green Team | |
 | The Suns donate thousands of complimentary tickets to schools and charity organizations each season. Through the APS Green Team program, Arizona middle and high schools can apply for an allotment of tickets to be used as a reward for students who have exemplified an outstanding commitment to their communities and the environment. Three students from each school are selected to have their photos taken with a Suns player on court at halftime and every student receives an official Green Team T-shirt. | Arizona Skin Cancer Foundation to Host 5K, Family Fun Run | |
 | Arizona Skin Cancer Foundation is proud to host the First Annual 5K and Family Fun Run. The event will be held at Market Street at DC Ranch on Saturday, December 1st at 8:30am. Benefits will be used to promote and educate our community about the prevention and treatment of skin cancer, as well as sun safety. | Symbol of Freedom Art & Essay Contest | |
 | In January 2013, program collateral will be mailed to all Arizona schools, both traditional and charter, with 7th grade classrooms. The program letter will be addressed to the school principal, and students will be encouraged to depict what freedom means to them through a piece of artwork and accompanying essay. Ten (10) 7th grade students will be selected to travel to Washington, DC to tour our nation’s “Symbols of Freedom.” Artwork & essays will be due 4 weeks prior to trip departure date. Trip dates: Thursday, March 14 – Sunday, March 17, 2013 (Suns @ Washington Wizards on March 16, 2013).

 | High school basketball players, coaches, parents and community members are encouraged to nominate local high school varsity basketball programs that are in need of new equipment. Log on to Suns.com to nominate a program and explain why this team needs and deserves new basketball equipment. Five basketball teams are selected to receive a $1,000 donation towards their basketball program and of those five winners a grand prize winner is selected to win an additional $5,000. | We Luv It Here! 5th Grade Grant Program | |
| In February 2013, school improvement grant applications will be mailed to all Arizona schools, both traditional and charter, with 5th grade classrooms. The program letter will be addressed to the 5th grade teacher(s), and it will encourage their students to complete a proposal for a $5,000 school improvement grant. Once all applications are received, finalists will be selected to present their school improvement ideas to a panel of Suns and Southwest Airlines representatives. Four (4) schools will each be awarded a $5,000 grant to complete the school improvement project. The check presentation to the winning 5th grde classes will occur during the Suns vs. New Orleans Hornets FSA pregame show on April 7, 2013.
