A Taste of Desert Mission On October 13, Phoenix Suns Charities celebrated Desert Mission's newly remodeled lobby with a ribbon cutting ceremony at their event, "A Taste of Desert Mission." Desert Mission Food Bank is a 2011 Phoenix Suns Charities grant recipient.

Suns Award $37,000 in College Scholarships Seventeen high school seniors from throughout Arizona have been named winners in the Phoenix Suns Charities’ SunStudents Scholarship program. Sixteen of the students will receive a $2,000 scholarship to be used for educational expenses at the college or university of their choice. In addition, Rosaria Strait of Mountain View High School was named the winner of the $5,000 Kevin Johnson Scholar Award. Suns Gala 2011 Phoenix Suns Charities is inviting Valley residents to rub elbows with Suns players, coaches, and alumni at the 2011 Suns & Stars Gala on Friday, March 11 at Talking Stick Resort. Guests will also enjoy entertainment, dinner and much more. Last year's musical guest was the legendary Kool & the Gang. Tickets are now on sale, with all proceeds benefiting Phoenix Suns Charities.

Suns Charities Posts Most Successful Year! With more than $1.36 million in grants to 178 different charitable organizations throughout Arizona this year, Phoenix Suns Charities marks a milestone of more than $11.6 million in donations since its 1988 inception. The announcement marks the most successful season in Phoenix Suns Charities 23-year history of funding community projects for children and families.
