Former Sun King Pays Tribute to Prince
Posted: Aug. 25, 2011
For those wondering what they're witnessing, this is former Suns star guard and current Nuggets VP of Player Personnel Rex Chapman belting out some Prince during karaoke.
Besides being known for delighting basketball fans with this sterling rendition of “When Doves Cry,” Chapman enjoyed a 12-year career in the NBA, averaging 14.6 points a game during his tenure in the NBA. He later became a member of the Suns front office, serving as the team's Director of Basketball Operations.
In all, Chapman played four seasons in Phoenix and still holds the record for most made three-pointers in a playoff contest with nine. “King Rex” also is tied with Walter Davis for the arena record for most points scored in an overtime game with 12.
Now instead of breaking records, it appears that he is now making them.
