Ceballos Hospitalized After Suffering Small Heart Attacks
Former NBA All-Star and co-owner of the Arizona Scorpions, Cedric Ceballos, has been hospitalized after experiencing a series of small heart attacks Sunday. The former 1992 NBA Slam Dunk Contest Champion and popular Suns player is currently at a hospital in the Phoenix area.
According to Ceballos' publicist, Crystal D. Guy, the former All-Star "came through with flying colors" after undergoing some minor surgeries. Although he's requesting privacy at this time, Ceballos did release a statement for those concerned for his well-being.
"I feel blessed and very fortunate to be here today and to have made the decision to go to the hospital and get my symptoms checked out late last night," Ceballos said. "I ask everyone to keep me in your prayers as I make my journey back to good health.
"Thank you everyone who has called and is concerned. While I want to respond and speak to everyone, I cannot right now, but will be in touch very soon. God bless you."
All those who wish to send good wishes to Ceballos may do so by going to his website at cedceballos.com. In all, Ceballos played six seasons with the Suns, averaging 11.7 points a game during his tenure in the Valley of the Sun.
