Suns to Be Featured 11 Times on National TV in 2016-17

The wait is almost over.

The offseason will linger for another two months, but we now know when and where the Suns will play their 82-game schedule that hopefully ends with the team's first postseason appearance since 2009-10.

Fans of the purple-and-orange will find a way to watch their Suns whenever take the court, but for the rest of the basketball world, Phoenix will be under the spotlight 11 times in 2016-17.

That means 11 opportunities for Devin Booker, Eric Bledsoe and the rest of the Phoenix squad to show a wide audience just how much they've improved in one year's time. Six of the games will take place at Talking Stick Resort Arena while the remaining five occur on the road.

Here's how the Suns' national TV slate breaks down by network: two games on TNT, two games on ESPN and seven games on NBA TV.

Phoenix's first matchup of the year under the bright lights will take place on Friday, Dec. 9, when they visit the Los Angeles Lakers on ESPN. The Suns' other showdown on the four-letter network comes on Friday, Feb. 10, at home vs. the Chicago Bulls.

Phoenix appears on TNT when it hosts the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, Jan. 30, and the Lakers on Thursday, March 9.

The Suns' NBA TV schedule is as follows: Dec. 19 at Minnesota, Feb. 26 at Milwaukee, March 17 vs. Orlando, March 23 at Brooklyn, April 2 vs. Houston, April 7 vs. Oklahoma City and April 11 at Sacramento.
