The team joins the league after playing an exhibition game in Dallas against the Mavericks' summer league roster on July 3 on the campus of Southern Methodist University. *Two members of Team China, forward Yi Jianlian and guard Sun Yue, were drafted by NBA teams in late June. Jianlian was selected by MIL with the sixth overall pick, while Yue was selected by LAL with the 40th overall pick. *Jianlian averaged 6.2 points and 5.7 rebounds in last year's FIBA World Championships.
