SEASON RECAPSUMMER LEAGUE
FAST FACTS
Record (Atlantic Division) 24-58 (fifth)

Statistical leaders: (Paul Pierce 25.0 ppg)
Al Jefferson (11.0 rpg)
Delonte West (4.4 apg)

Summary: The Celtics endured a disappointing season, winning just 12 games each at home and on the road. Injuries to his elbow and left foot inhibited star guard Paul Pierce, who played in just 47 games on the season. April saw just one win – 98-96 vs. CLE on April 1. The Celtics finished the season by losing their final nine games by an average of 4.8 points.

2007-08 OUTLOOK
The Celtics are banking on their “big three” of sharpshooter Paul Pierce, big man Al Jefferson and newly acquired seven-time All-Star Ray Allen to lead them back to their historic winning ways. Gone is promising guard Delonte West, but second-year player Rajon Rondo’s development should increase, as will his assist totals. Expert opinion differs on what it will be like with Allen and Pierce on the court together, but one thing is for sure, GM Danny Ainge is trying to make moves to get the team back to Eastern Conference playoff contention.
