LAS VEGAS -- Blazers second-round pick Patrick Mills suffered a broken foot in practice Thursday, knocking the point guard out of Summer League. The injury occurred at the team’s practice facility in Portland, as the Blazers were preparing their squad before leaving for Las Vegas.

Mills was chosen 55th overall in a Draft heavy with point guards. Sixteen playmakers were taken before Portland snagged the sophomore out of St. Mary’s late in the second round. Mills, 20, starred on Australia’s Olympic team last summer.
