LAS VEGAS, July 20 - Alando Tucker scored 25 points Sunday and the Phoenix Suns held the Washington Wizards to just six fourth-quarter points in an 88-69 victory in the finale for both teams of the Las Vegas Summer League presented by EA Sports on the UNLV campus.
D.J. Strawberry scored 20 points for the Suns (2-3), who jumped out to a 7-2 lead and led by as many as seven points in the quarter before settling for a 22-16 lead.
The Wizards (2-3) used a 9-0 run to take a 32-27 lead with 4:12 left in the second quarter and held a two-point lead at halftime.
A balanced attack in the third quarter gave the Wizards a 63-58 lead entering the final period, but their offense disappeared. The Suns held the Wizards to just two points in the first five minutes and took a nine-point lead after going on a 12-0 burst.
Phoenix led by as many as 20 points in the period as Tucker scored 15 points and Strawberry added seven.
Wallace scored 15 points for the Suns.
Team USA members Carmelo Anthony and Deron Williams sat courtside during the game.
