Minnesota 88, Portland 78
LAS VEGAS, July 17 – Kevin Love tallied 26 points and 15 rebounds and the Minnesota Timberwolves rolled to an 88-78 win over the Portland Trail Blazers in the final game of the NBA Summer League at Cox Pavilion on Thursday.
Blake Ahearn added 14 points for Minnesota. First-round draft pick Jerryd Bayless posted a game-high 29 points and six rebounds, while
The Timberwolves used a strong third quarter, outscoring the Blazers 31-20, to take a commanding 15-point lead into the fourth.
The Blazers shot 56 percent from the field (29-52) in the game, while the Timberwolves hit just .42 percent (30-71).
Notes: The Blazers return to action on Saturday at COX Pavilion as they play host to the Phoenix Suns. The Timberwolves host the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday at Thomas & Mack.
