LAS VEGAS, July 15, 2008 - Marco Belinelli went off for 30 points to secure Golden State’s 99-93 win over the Charlotte Bobcats in the sixth game of the day at the NBA Summer League Presented by EA SPORTS on the campus of UNLV inside the Thomas & Mack Center.

C.J. Watson shot 13-of-16 from the floor to total 23 points on the night. Brandan Wright and DeMarcus Nelson each finished with 11 in the win.

The Warriors jumped out to an early lead on the back of Belinelli’s nine-point first quarter as they took advantage of 10 Bobcat turnovers in the period. The stanza finished with Golden State up by 11; 28-17.

In the second quarter, Charlotte surged back to take the lead at 42-41 with 1:49 to play before Belinelli, Louis Amundson and Watson came together to give their Warriors an eventual seven-point halftime advantage at 51-44.

The Bobcats fought back in the second half, taking the lead from Golden State with under five minutes to play in the third. In the last three minutes of the quarter, the teams traded baskets with the Bobcats hanging on to their newly acquired lead to end the period up 72-68.

The see-saw game which saw ten lead changes came to an end in the see-saw fourth quarter, which saw four of the game’s six ties. The squads were knotted at 91 with just over two minutes to play before the Warriors were able to pull away and secure the victory from the free throw line. Belinelli bookended his performance with another nine-point quarter to end the game, while Watson scored seven in the final period.

Charlotte lottery pick D.J. Augustin topped all Bobcat scorers with 30 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter.

Next up: Both squads enjoy an off day tomorrow, returning to action on Thursday July 18. The Bobcats take on The Detroit Pistons at 3 p.m. while the Warriors face the Sacramento Kings at 7 p.m.
