A free throw from Tyrese Rice -- his only point of the game -- with 1.6 seconds gave the Sacramento Kings (4-1) a 76-75 victory over the Chicago Bulls (1-3) Saturday night in the 2010 NBA Summer League at UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center.
The Kings outscored the Bulls 35-17 in the final 12:33 to erase a 17-point deficit .
Omri Casspi was the main contributer in Sacramento's come-from-behind win, scoring 20 of his game-high 22 in the second half. Casspi nailed a 3-pointer at the end of the third and added 12 in the fourth.
Sacramento trailed from the first basket of the game until Rice's free throw. The Kings fell behind 7-0 and quickly fell behind by double figures midway through the first.
The Kings pulled within single digits on a couple occasions, but the Bulls kept increasing the lead to 10 or more.
Trailing by 17, the Kings rattled off a 19-3 run between the third and fourth quarters to pull within one with 8:43 left.
Sacramento trailed 73-64 with 4:02 on the clock before securing an 11-2 run to claim the game.
In addition to Casspi's effort, Sacramento got double figures from Dionte Christmas (10), Hassan Whiteside (10) and DeMarcus Cousins (10).
Samardo Samuels led Chicago with 17 points. Matt Bouldin added 12 and James Johnson chipped in 10 for the Bulls.
Both teams return to action Sunday with contests in the Cox Pavilion.
Chicago will play first in a tussle with the Portland Trail Blazers at 3:00 p.m. PT, while Sacramento will follow at 5:00 p.m. PT against the Dallas Mavericks.
