ORLANDO -- Dionte Christmas scored 21 points and E'Twaun Moore added 18 points as the Boston Celtics blew open a close game in the second and third quarters to defeat the Orlando Magic 94-73 in the AirTran Airways Pro Summer League.

The Magic (2-3) won in double-overtime in Thursday's late game and was back on the floor again Friday morning at 10 a.m. ET. The Magic led by one after the first quarter, but quickly faded and lost the Friday finale.

"It definitely caught up to us today,'' said Magic summer league coach Mark Price. "Having to go double-OT with our guys having to play a lot of minutes last night and being down to one point guard -- it wasn't stacking up to be a good day to begin with and then Boston shot the lights out. It made for a rough day, but I told our kids to not let this (loss) take away from the effort put forth all week.''

Christmas lifted the Celtics to a 4-1 record in the summer league by making seven of 14 shots, three 3-pointers and hit all four of his free throws. Boston outscored the Magic 24-13 in the second quarter and 28-16 in the third quarter.

Friday was the final day of play in the AirTran Orlando Summer League. The event is designed to be a showcase for young NBA players, rookies and undrafted free agents who have hopes of getting invited to NBA training camps in October. Some of the players, such as Magic point guard Maalik Wayns, will also compete in the Vegas Summer League next week.

Clearly fatigued after playing five games in five days, Magic first-round pick Andrew Nicholson finished with four points and four rebounds. For the week, the power forward averaged 12.6 points and 6.8 rebounds while shooting 46.8 percent from the floor.

The Celtics took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Magic 24-13 to wipe out a one-point deficit. Boston led 43-33 at the half despite making just 35 percent of its shots and trailing 28-19 on the glass. However, the Magic had a staggering 16 turnovers in the first half.

Christmas had a big role in the Magic's ball-handling struggles, swiping three steals. He also had a monster offensive effort, making six of 11 shots, three of five 3-pointers and all four of his free throws in a 19-point first half performance.
