Indiana’s Mr. Pacer: Video Analysis
NBA TV takes a closer look at how Indiana runs the offense.
Watch the video
The Pacers made the most of Reggie Miller's long-range shooting ability, in this the final season of his NBA career, by setting multiple screens to create problems for defenses and openings for the Pacer offense.

Long time Pacer Dale Davis and All-Star Jermaine O'Neal helped give Indiana yet another solid run through the NBA playoffs.

After collecting 44 wins during the regular season to earn the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, the Pacers stepped up in the playoffs, defeating No. 3 Boston in seven games before falling to the Pistons in six games in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

The Play
The Pacers start this set with a high screen at the top of the key. Jermaine O’Neal (7) sets a diagonal screen for Reggie Miller (31). Miller (31) utilizes the screen and makes a basket cut. Jamaal Tinsley (11) keeps the ball on the right side of the floor.

Jermaine O’Neal (7) continues over to Jamaal Tinsley (11) to set a ball screen. Tinsley (11) drives hard off the screen but the defense does a nice job of stopping his penetration. O’Neal (7) rolls to the basket.

The Pacers had a double screen set for Reggie Miller but the defense has broken it down. No need to worry, this is where Miller excels. Miller (31) cuts around Stephen Jackson (1) and heads toward screener Dale Davis (32). Miller (31) is able to rub his defender off Davis (31) and create space. Jamaal Tinsley (11) passes to Miller (31) for the hoop.
