Eligibility: NBA Starting 5 Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents (natural persons only) of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, and Canada (excluding residents of Quebec), 8 years of age or older as of 11/1/08. Eligible minors should obtain parental consent to participate. Prizes won by eligible minors may, at Sponsor’s discretion, be awarded in the name of parent or legal guardian, who will be required to fulfill all requirements imposed on winners set forth herein. Employees, officers, directors, representatives and agents of NBA Properties, Inc. (“Sponsor”), NBA Media Ventures, LLC, the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, governors, owners, distributors, retailers, advertising/promotion agencies, and Project Support Team, Inc. (“P/S/T”) (collectively, “Released Parties”), and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and/or those living in the same household of any such employees, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state, and local laws and regulations. Void in Quebec and where prohibited by law.

How to Enter: Between 11/1/08 and 1/15/09 (“Promotion Period”), visit a participating Hobby Shop location during normal business operating hours throughout the Promotion Period and enter the Sweepstakes in one of the following ways: 1.) Participate in the NBA Hobby Shop Offer by collecting the (5) designated player trading cards (while supplies last) per the instructions provided in the Offer Terms and Conditions (incorporated herein by reference and available at participating Hobby Shops); then, complete an Official Entry Form (available at participating Hobby Shop locations, while supplies last) and deposit in the entry box by close of business on 1/15/09; or 2.) Visit a participating Hobby Shop location during normal business operating hours throughout the Promotion Period and complete an Official Entry Form (while supplies last) and deposit in the entry box or mail the entry form in an envelope with proper postage affixed to: NBA Starting 5 Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 17025, Bridgeport, CT 06673-7025. Each mailed entry must be mailed separately to be received by 1/21/09 to be considered. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person per household during each day of the Sweepstakes, regardless of method of entry. Additional entries received from any one person or household in excess of the stated daily limitation will be void. No photocopied, computer generated facsimiles, mechanically reproduced, or mass entries or entries by any means which subvert the entry process are permitted and all such entries will be void. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, incomplete, illegible, late, misdirected, delayed, undelivered, stolen, postage-due or mutilated entries, mail, or Official Entry Forms, or for lost or stolen entry boxes; or for any other errors or problems of any kind relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, whether mechanical, human, typographical, printing or otherwise, including, without limitation, errors or problems which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prizes, in these Official Rules, the Official Entry Form or in any Sweepstakes-related advertisements or other materials.

Winner Selection: Potential winners will be selected in a random drawing on or about 1/22/09 from among all eligible entries received by P/S/T, an independent judging organization whose decisions will be final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible entries received for the entire Promotion Period. Potential winner will be notified by email, telephone and/or mail. Limit one (1) prize per person, immediate family or household for the entire Promotion.

Prizes: (1) Grand Prize: A three (3)-day/two (2)-night trip for two (2) to the 2009 NBA All-Star Game currently scheduled to take place from 2/14/09 to 2/16/09 in Phoenix, AZ. Trip consists of round-trip coach air transportation from major gateway airport nearest to winner’s primary residence, two (2)-nights’ standard double-occupancy hotel accommodations (one (1) room), ground transportation to/from the airport and the applicable hotel, and two tickets to the 2009 NBA All-Star Game currently scheduled to take place on 2/15/09 (Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”)=$3,000). If a resident of Canada is named the potential Grand Prize winner, he/she and his/her guest must be able to obtain valid passports (that do not expire within six (6) months of time of travel) and all other required documentation prior to time of departure and are responsible for obtaining all such travel documents. Failure to satisfy any of the foregoing will result in forfeiture of the prize and an alternate winner may be selected from all remaining eligible entries, at Sponsor’s discretion and time permitting. Actual value of Grand Prize may vary depending on point of departure. Travel and accommodation restrictions may apply. Travel and hotel arrangements to be determined by Sponsor. Winner and guest must travel together on the same itinerary. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to provide ground transportation in place of air transportation if winner lives within a reasonable driving distance of the location of 2009 NBA All-Star Game in Phoenix, AZ, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, and no compensation or substitution will be provided for difference in prize value. Trip must be taken on dates and times designated by Sponsor or prize will be forfeited in its entirety and may be awarded to an alternate winner at Sponsor’s discretion. If the 2009 NBA All-Star Game is canceled or postponed for any reason, travel prize will be awarded less applicable prize-related activity(s) and Sponsor will substitute that activity(s) with an item(s)/activity(s) of comparable or greater value as determined solely by Sponsor. Seat locations to be determined by Sponsor. Tickets are subject to certain terms and conditions specified thereon. All costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided, including, but not limited to, additional ground transportation, luggage fees, gratuities, meals and souvenirs are the sole responsibility of the winner. (10) First Prizes: A year’s worth of NBA trading cards (Total ARV of the year’s worth of NBA trading cards=$3,000). A year of Trading Cards includes approx. (30) boxes. Final quantity of boxes awarded based on total number of releases and subject to change. Total ARV of all First Prizes: $30,000. (300) Second Prizes: NBA Mini Trading Card Binder (ARV=$10). Total ARV of all Second Prizes: $3,000. Total ARV of all prizes: $36,000. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor. All federal, state, provincial and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes), including but not limited to any applicable customs duties or like fees and all other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided are the sole responsibility of the winners.

Miscellaneous: No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of prizes is permitted except by Sponsor who reserves the right to substitute a prize (or applicable portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. If an eligible minor is selected as the winner, prize may, at Sponsor’s discretion, be awarded in the name of said minor’s parent or legal guardian (however, if Grand Prize winner, said minor must accompany parent/legal guardian on trip) and such parent or legal guardian must fulfill all requirements imposed on winners set forth herein. Potential Grand and First Prize winners will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility (or, if a resident of Canada, a Declaration), Liability Release and (where legal) Publicity Release within five (5) days the date of issuance of notification. Grand Prize traveling companion must be of legal age of majority in his/her jurisdiction of residence (if minor, he/she must be the legal ward or minor child of Grand Prize winner) will be required to sign and return a Liability Release and (where legal) Publicity Release prior to the issuance of travel documents. If guest is a minor child or legal ward, his/her parent or legal guardian must sign and return such releases and accompany him/her to all prize-related activities. Non-compliance with any of the foregoing or with these Official Rules may result in disqualification and awarding of prize to an alternate winner, at Sponsor’s sole discretion. If a potential winner is a resident of Canada, he/she will be required to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone. If he/she answers the skill-testing question incorrectly, as determined by Sponsors in its sole discretion, or if he/she cannot be contacted within a reasonable time period, he/she will be disqualified and, at Sponsors’ discretion, an alternate winner shall be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries. If any prize or prize notification letter is returned as undeliverable or Sponsor is unable to otherwise contact a potential winner within a reasonable time period, winner may be disqualified and, at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate winner may be selected. Grand Prize winner and his/her traveling companion must agree to comply with all NBA rules and regulations relating to attending any NBA event and, in accordance therewith, agree not to act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with any intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at any NBA event. Failure to comply with NBA event or venue rules and regulations may result in forfeiture of such portion of prize. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to: 1.) disqualify any person and void any entries of any person who it believes has tampered with the entry process, the operation of NBA.com, or any other component of this Sweepstakes, whose conduct or actions affect the administration, integrity, security, fairness or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, or who is in violation of these Official Rules; and 2.) modify, suspend or terminate this Sweepstakes should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes, including but not limited to war, strikes, and/or acts of God, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Sweepstakes and, in the event of termination, at its discretion, select winners from among eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the date of the event requiring such termination. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding on all matters, and agree that: 1.) Released Parties and their designees and assigns may use (unless prohibited by law) such entrant’s name, voice, city/state of residence, photograph, and/or other visual likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes and/or for the purpose of posting their name on NBA.com and/or for any other purpose in any media or format now or hereafter known worldwide in perpetuity without further compensation, permission or notification; 2.) Released Parties shall have no liability and will be released and held harmless from any claim, action, liability, loss, injury or damage, including, without limitation, personal injury or death to a winner or any third party or damage to personal or real property due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize (including any travel or activity related thereto) or participation in this Sweepstakes. Winners List: For the name of the Grand and First Prize winners (available after 3/2/09), send a stamped, self-addressed envelope for receipt by 2/23/09 to: NBA Starting 5 Sweepstakes Winners, P.O.
