Spurs Announce 2011-12 Regular Season Schedule
The home schedule is highlighted by 24 weekend games for the Silver & Black; featuring 11 Friday games, seven Saturday matchups and six Sunday games.
The 2010-11 NBA Champion and in-state rival Dallas Mavericks will visit San Antonio on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. and again on Sunday, Apr. 8 at 6:00 p.m. Along with Dallas, the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Orlando Magic visit the AT&T Center in the first month of the season. The game against the Thunder is slated for Monday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. and the Magic pay a visit to San Antonio on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 7:30 p.m.
The month of March marks the Spurs busiest month at the AT&T Center, boasting 10 home games. San Antonio hosts seven consecutive home games from Feb. 29 through March 14, their longest such home streak of the season. This stretch features games against the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks. March also features the only visit by the Boston Celtics on Sunday, March 25.
Other highlighted home games include a December 17th match-up against the Chicago Bulls, a February 1st contest against the Miami Heat and an April 11th game against the L.A. Lakers. The Houston Rockets visit San Antonio twice, on Friday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. and again on Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. for the Spurs final home matchup before embarking on their annual rodeo road trip.
The Spurs return home from the rodeo road trip on Wednesday, Feb. 29 to take on the New Jersey Nets. San Antonio closes out its home schedule with a visit from the Phoenix Suns on Saturday, April 14.
